There's a storm across the valley, clouds are rollin' in

That old John Denver song is what pops in to my head when I look out over the fields today.

I have often thought that living on a farm is like looking at a new picture everyday. The landscape and scenery are constantly changing with the weather and the seasons. Now we are getting enough heat in the early part of the day to generate the big thunder booming clouds that show up most afternoons. This is good hay growing and blackberry picking weather!

  1. Wonderful analogy: "like looking at a new picture everyday."

    yes!

i'd surely love to partake of a punnet of your farm's blackberries.

enjoy the storm as much as i would.

  2. Thanks Floh!

It is going to rain AGAIN today it seems. After that, the rain will clear out and we will all be back to complaining that it is too dry and hot! LOL

  4. Interestingly enough, it would appear to not be in common use in American English.

what would be a trip to market without bringing back a punnet of berries of some kind?
