Workin It

We have this lovely old barn here on the farm. About twenty years ago give or take, it was used to house baby calves. We moved that whole operation to another area of the farm about a half mile away and so this sturdy barn just sat.....

Empty.

Unpurposed.

Its rustic open beamed elegance watching life just pass by....

until....

the idea was born to have a gym. All of us had a bit of this and a bit of that but no real center location. So the weight bench left the garage, the treadmill left its spot....and before you could say "are you crazy...a gym in a barn?" there it was!

The music is pumping a steady beat bouncing off the walls and pouring out of the open windows.

Such happy energy!

So now any family member can head to the calf barn for an early morning wake up, a late night wind down, or just a little "me time". The building is cool and open and ready for business!

I think if barns had faces - this one would be smiling a big happy smile.

2 Dog Night

What did you do last night around midnight or so?

Watch Letterman? The late news?

Or were you already off to dream land?

I had to jacket .p and go back to check on a baby calf thats not eating well. I have to feed her smaller amounts more often and it was time for her last feeding of the day.

Dixie dawg didnt seem thrilled at going for a joy ride. She is not very helpul late at night. She doesnt want her doggie bed turning into a pumpkin.

Fortunately Emme doesnt feel the same way. She is a real night owl and always up for an adventure

,

So pack up the bottle and off we go!

.

the barn is a half mile away and it is

D.A.R.K.

The barn and milk parlor look cheery in the night.

The barnyard is not a place to wander around blind. You dont want to go bump in the night cause that could really hurt

Fortunately I have my lethal light with cornea burning capabilities and off we go!

the calf was happy to see us and enjoyed her warm bottle.

Home to bed and good night to all.
